Harvest Time

We didn't make it to the pumpkin patch this year. The local patches said between the squash bugs and the rain in late summer, the pumpkins were not doing so good. They were importing pumpkins from other places just to have some to sell! So we set up our own harvest pumpkin patch of sorts in our front lawn! The boys enjoyed rolling the pumpkins around, and I enjoyed taking their pictures :) We haven't cut into them yet, but I hope they stay good a little while longer so we can cook and bake with the nutritious Isquatm Squash (old Native American term for pumpkin).
My cute little pumpkins!

Getting it together

Okay, so I finally figured out how to POST a blog. I was "posting" pictures and text under the wrong heading...but I've got it now!
Just a brief update: I'm looking forward to the fall for a great weather change, for football season, family gatherings, and Hands Abroad. We live in Stillwater, come on! OSU football trumps everything else this time of year in this town! All you see is orange and black on game days (not to be mistaken with Halloween). So the college atmosphere is fun, and we actually are still connected to some college students, or recent students, on Sunday nights. And Caleb and I are still going to Community Free Church, which we love and continue to grow in love with the people there. I've started helping with Hands Abroad, an international ministry through a different church which provides English and sewing classes to international students/spouses. I'm helping with beginning English, and we have two ladies from Libya and one from S.Korea in our class. They are alot of fun! I have a feeling I'm going to be learning more Arabic and Korean though.

Little swimmer

Silas has really grown to love the water and his swimming pool in the back yard. Water is one of his first loves - bathtub, shower, sink, water hose, toilet, swimming pools, rain...any form of water, and he will find a way to play...

The boys

They adore each other! This pic was just taken in August. Both have baby blues like their Mommy, their Grammy, and their Great Grandpa Zadik! Silas has such a great vocabulary now, and is always surprising us with the things he says! He is just so funny. Hudson took a couple of steps last weekend - and he is standing on his own. These boys are fast and busy!

July so far...

So far this July we have shot off fireworks, gone to a birthday party for Moriah (Kris and Misty's girl) who turned one, and had a seminary reunion of sorts in OKC with friends from Missouri and Texas. We've gone to the Omniplex in OKC, been to a wedding, visited with family in town from California, and will be going to a funeral tomorrow. And the month is not over yet either.Well, Hudson is six months old and is crawling up a storm! He also started cruising last week...uh, we are not ready for that yet. He has "fangs" which are so stinkin cute - five teeth have cut through, and one more is on the way. Silas is 27months old and getting over yet another bout of tonsilitis. He talks our ear off most days. Busy. That's Silas. Very busy!

She's 1 year old! This pic is from her party in Sulphur at her grandma and grandpa Franklin's house. She LOVED this blue cake

Moriah's 1 year birthday party in Sulphur. Silas insisted on putting the party hat on himself...he he he...he really is a cutie! The Sanders family is in the background with their olded Garron.

Omniplex garden

Omniplex garden
The sun peaking through the leaves..quite relaxing I must say. Just sitting quietly on the bench soaking in the beauty of God's creation all around me. I don't get many chances to just be still and enjoy God's creation...outside of looking at my beautiful boys every day! (and my hubby :))

Omniplex water play! Seriously, Silas could have stayed here all day. But he would eventually ended up IN the water.

Hudson and me at the Omniplex - beautiful garden area outside! We don't have many pics of us together, so Papa Mel took this one for me.
